@ Shailesh - well , there is a rumor that we don't have training in GTU 8th semester and full study. I got forwarded E-mail about the subjects also. But it's not officialy announced by GTU. So we can't say anything firmly.

Books for "Modeling Simulation and Operation Research" are available in "BOOKS" menu --> 6th semester of this site.
Papers for that are also now available in "GTU EXAM PAPERS" menu --> 6th semester of this site.
Tell me if u can't get it.
Is it possible like in subjects wad & CG whole paper contains no theory only programs of 70 marks in external,like we had in java paper in 5th sem.
It is possible for WAD that they may ask coding rather than theory.......but for the CG there will be theory...no chances of full programs in paper....moreover CG paper will contain more theory rather than programs.
hey for Software engg. subject which book is more preferably for exam ..i m so confused..bcoz i m using pressman,rajiv mall,k k agrawal..but concept is nt clear yet...so which book is easy to use...

For SE , If you want deep concept then Pressman is good....but if want easy language and Exam oriented reading then Tech-max is the best.and Now only 9 days are left for exam so better to use tech max.
hey what to say for WAD subject...i m using Ralph moseley..but what about programs???u have any other book that we can use for program base..even www.w3schools.com site is there but if u have any book for programs related then pls tell me..bcoz 99% this paper will be just lik java paper..so..

For WAD i m also usin Ralph Moseley..I don't know whether there is any book for programs or not.Moseley has given few programs and some college assignments are der.So v can depend on them.N yah for WAD, der is higher possibility of paper like JAVA.

Actually local publications' books are not available on net...So R. C. Shah is nt availble bt other GTU refernce books are der.

hi Rashmi...actually these subjects are not officially declared by GTU.These are proportional subjects...some of them may come..& some of'em may not.
For 7th Sem , GTU has started "Innovation Sankul" under UDISHA. In UDISHA students will map the industrial needs (Industry Defined Projects, IDPs) across the MSMEs and business sectors. So it's our 7th semester project or GTU has given the name " SHODH YATRA ". It'll have 2 credits.

Nope. not of 18 credits. GTU has declared 7th Sem course so there is a project of 4 credit only.

IDP should b frm Industry/Research organization/Govt.organization/socio-technical issues.
I can give u an ex.
Suppose any X company is having problem in its s/w or they need some s/w. This thing can be taken as IDP.
Many companies don't have HR Management S/w ..so it can be also an IDP.
Any problem can be taken as IDP , even problem in the router of ur clg !!

But it would be better if u extend ur 7th sem's project in 8th sem.
Bcz in 7th , we have to analyze the problem and then in 8th sem we have to give solution of that problem and implement it.

2) Introduction to Algorithms, Thomas H. Cormen, Charles E. Leiserson, Ronald L. Rivest
and Clifford Stein.
Match d course topics frm both n use it. Bcz course is designed from both of d books.

You have to refer 3 books.
In syllabus,
Chapter 1 to 3 is from
High Performance Cluster Computing, Volume 1, Architecture and Systems,Rajkumar Buyya, Pearson Education
Chapter 4 to 6 is from
Grid Computing – Making the Global Infrastructure A Reality, Edited by Berman,
Fox and Hey, Wiley India
Chapter 7 to 9 is from
Cloud Computing for Dummies, Hurwitz, Bllor, Kaufman, Halper, Wiley India.
GTU syllabus is designed from these 3 books only.
You can find same topics of syllabus in books.

Mid sem is part of Continuous Evaluation process .... so clgs can take mid sem as per their wish.

Actually, there is no official news from GTU that they want to remove Mid-Sem. But, in new Scheme GTU has said
"Continuous Evaluation Process is to be decided by the concerned college/Department/Faculty. Continuing evaluation may include tests/Quizzes/mid terms and /or assignements etc."
So it's up to clg whether to take mid sem or not.

I don't have any idea whether it's necessary or not. In GTU 7th syllabus Project-1 syllabus is there. They have not mention about Screen-shots.
